About Us
We publish a free, modern browser version of Spider Solitaire — the classic two-deck patience game — with 1, 2, and 4-suit difficulty, unlimited undo, hints, and a layout that works on any screen.
Our craft
Two decks. Eight runs. Total order.
Resequence the tableau, keep every suit travelling together, and weave eight complete runs home. That loop is everything we design around.

What we make
spidersolitaireonline.app is the site behind our version of Spider Solitaire. The product is a single-player card game: deal ten columns from a 104-card double deck, stack cards down regardless of suit, drag same-suit runs as a group, and clear all eight King-to-Ace runs.
We are not an app-store publisher and there is nothing to download. The game is the website. That keeps load times short, works on phones and desktops alike, and avoids an account wall. Best times, scores, move counts, and streaks live in local browser storage on your device.
If you are comparing this to another solitaire site, this page only speaks for spidersolitaireonline.app. The rules, scoring, and difficulty modes described in our how-to-play guide and FAQ match this exact build.
Our story
Spider asks for more planning than most patience games, and it has kept players coming back for decades because of it. We treat that depth as a responsibility to get the rules exactly right and the friction as close to zero as we can.
Spider grew out of the same family of patience games as Klondike, but doubled the deck and dropped the foundations: instead of building four suit piles by hand, you assemble complete King-to-Ace runs directly in the tableau, and they clear themselves the moment they come together. That single change turns the game from arithmetic into sequencing.
Spider reached a mass audience when Microsoft bundled it first as an add-on for Windows and then as a default install from Windows XP onward, introducing millions of players to its deeper, suit-aware building rules and its now-familiar 1, 2, and 4-suit difficulty ladder.
spidersolitaireonline.app is an independent, modern implementation of that same ruleset. The rules are unchanged; what is new is a rendering that scales all ten columns smoothly on a phone, synthesized sound with a real mute, and quality-of-life tools — hints, unlimited undo, a double-tap auto-placer — that the original desktop version never had.
What we stand for
Open the page and a game is already dealt. No account wall, no download, no splash video — the cards are on the table before you finish reading this sentence.
1, 2, or 4 suits, unlimited undo, a hint that actually helps. The familiar 500-point desktop scoring. Nothing is gated behind a "pro" toggle and nothing nags you to install an app.
Best time, best score, fewest moves, and win streak per suit count live on your device. We do not hold your record hostage behind a login, because there is no login.
The whole game is free forever. No energy meters, no interstitial video ads between deals, no surprise paywall on the hint button.
Who it is for
spidersolitaireonline.app is a family-friendly, single-player game with no chat and no store. A poor fit if you want multiplayer or live events; a good fit if you want the real game of Spider, exactly as you remember it, on whatever screen is nearby.
A 1-suit deal can wrap up in a few minutes; a 4-suit deal can hold your attention for twenty. Spider scales to however much time you actually have.
There is no clock forcing a move and nothing to react to. The entire challenge is deciding which column to resequence, and in what order.
Your record stays on the device you played on. That is a deliberate trade: instant play and real privacy, with no cloud restore.
Why this site
Spider has plenty of implementations online, and many treat it as an afterthought bolted onto a Klondike engine. This one exists to ship a single honest, fast version built for Spider's actual rules — correct same-suit-run logic, all three difficulties, and no clutter.
1, 2, and 4 suits are each first-class, with their own saved stats, so you can measure real progress as you move from the friendliest mode to the classic hardest one.
Unlimited undo, a hint that points to a genuinely useful move, and a double-tap auto-placer that sends a run to the best open column without a drag.
No auto-playing video, no fake "download our app" banners, no dark patterns around the settings. The how-to-play guide and FAQ describe this exact engine, not a generic write-up.
How we build
The game runs entirely on the web: fast loads, drag / tap / keyboard controls, and progress that stays local unless you clear your browser data. We use lightweight analytics to see what helps players — never to gate the game behind a profile. The engine on the home page is the one described on our rules pages, so search results and the live game never drift apart.
Phone, tablet, and desktop share one board that scales all ten columns to fit. Drag with a mouse, tap on a touchscreen, or use the keyboard shortcuts for dealing, undo, and hints.
Best time, best score, fewest moves, and streak per suit count are stored locally. You own the continuity of your record without signing up.
We watch aggregate usage through Google Analytics to improve pacing and polish. Details are in our Privacy Policy — never as a sales pitch.
